Tofu (Bean Curd/ Soy Paneer) is manufactured by curdling plain Soy milk using coagulants. Plain Tofu is a basic variant of Tofu. The other variants of Tofu can easily be manufactured either by making variations in its made-up formation of softness or hardness & adding various food ingredients in manufacturing Tofu from Soy milk. 

As per the consumer’s need & demand from the market, different variants of Tofu can be manufactured, such as, popularly known as Herbal Tofu, Spice Tofu, Vegetable Tofu & so on. 

 Herbal Tofu is manufactured by adding various popular herbs in different forms to Tofu. Herbs considered here are Oregano, Thyme, Rosemary, Parsley, Basil, Mint, Etc.

Similarly, Spice Tofu is manufactured by adding different spices commonly available in our household kitchens, to name very few, such as Ginger Tofu, Chilli Tofu, Coriander Tofu & Garlic Tofu etc.

 Similarly, it is possible to manufacture Vegetable Tofu by adding different vegetables to Tofu in various forms, such as in dicing, cutting & crushing vegetables depending upon the types of vegetable. 

 One of the popular variants of vegetable Tofu is Palak or Spinach Tofu. As per the consumer’s need, Spinach leaves are cut into required small sizes or crushed into small pieces & also; Puree of Spinach or Palak leaves are added by grinding Spinach leaves with the Tofu.

 Similarly, different variants of Vegetable Tofu can be manufactured by adding other green vegetables like Methi Tofu or Fenugreek. 

 By adding such different ingredients, the nutritional value of Tofu can be increased & this also adds more taste & value addition to the recipe in which different custom-made Tofu variants are added. Food products manufacturing companies primarily use these types of Tofu variants as an essential ingredient in their ready to eat product items on a large scale. It is trendy in the international market considering the ready cooked variant of Tofu and keeping the nutritional values of Tofu for daily dietary consumption by Vegans and tofu lovers.
